I've recently bought a late 2015 Mazda 6 2.2d Skyactiv. The car has 79k miles on with good service history. At 60k it had a new Turbo and at 64k it had a full carbon clean at the main dealers So far I've done about 600 miles in it, a mix of motorway (a couple of long trips, 120 miles each way) and town driving.
The DPF of this car is known to fail at some stage in its lifetime and In this video we talk about solving Mazda CX5 DPF problem when the DPF light comes on. My 59 reg 2.2 diesel suffered a stretched chain at about 85k miles. No damage was done but the repair was £900. Mazda paid half even though the car was 18 months out of warranty. Perversely the warning sign for the stretched chain is that the dpf light comes on and stays on.
